The Information Officers of Palompon Institute of Technology (PIT) organized a benchmarking visit at Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) today, May 8, 2024.

Benchmarking involves comparing processes, practices, and performance metrics with those of other organizations to identify best practices and areas for improvement.

Ms. Diana Rose Delgado, Information Officer III, led PIT's Information Officers during their visit to Biliran Province State University. Accompanying her were Mrs. Jeramie Malbacias, Information Officer II and Mrs. Lorlaine Joy Ramirez, Information Officer I. The purpose of the visit is to observe and gather data on various aspects of the university's operations, such as communication strategies, information dissemination methods, technology utilization, and overall effectiveness in engaging stakeholders. By studying these practices at another institution, PIT aims to gain insights and ideas that can be applied to improve its own operations and services.

Prepared to greet the PIT Information Officers were Mr. Vincent Justine L. Realino, Acting Director of BiPSU University Media and Information Office and the Freedom of Information (FOI) Focal Person, along with Dr. Estelito R. Salut Jr., Presidential Special Assistant for Academic and Student Affairs, and Ms. Apple Balondo-Visitacion, Information Officer II and the Presidential Special Assistant for Public Relations and Appointments.

The PIT Information Officers also had the honor of meeting with Dr. Victor C. Canezo Jr., the BiPSU President.

This benchmarking initiative demonstrates PIT's commitment to continuous improvement and its proactive approach to utilize the insights gained from other institutions to enhance its own performance and effectiveness.

We are also thankful to BiPSU for the warm welcome and for the opportunity to conduct benchmarking activities with them.
