The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) set 24 accreditors to survey seven programs offered by PIT for the main campus and the external Tabango campus on July 7-9, 2016.

The said accreditors gathered documents, did ocular inspections in the different departments, classroom observations, and interviews to students, faculty, alumni and parents.

The survey which would end with an exit conference on July 8, 2016 at 3 pm would include overall impressions of the programs. The results of the program would be released in about three month's time.

Accreditation is viewed as a process by which an institution at the tertiary level evaluates its educational activities, in whole or in part, and seeks an independent judgement to confirm that it substantially achieves its objectives, and is generally equal in quality to comparable institutions. Currently, accreditation in state colleges and universities is by program (www.aaccup.org.ph).
