Now that I am the President, my desire to help them becomes stronger. Hence, I have the intention… by way of offering evening opportunity programs for the poor students who are working during the day in Palompon and neighboring towns to study in the evening.”

Those were the statements of Dr. Norberto C. Olavides, former PIT Vice President for Administration (VPA), who was formally installed as the 6th PIT President on July 18, 2016 at the gymnasium.

The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) set 24 accreditors to survey seven programs offered by PIT for the main campus and the external Tabango campus on July 7-9, 2016.

The AACCUP accreditors headed by Overall Coordinator Dr. Hedeliza A. Pineda evaluated two of the undergraduate College of Technology and Engineering (COTE) programs for level 1 accreditation of the main campus namely Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
