Collaborative Meeting of Palompon Institute of Technology (PIT) and Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT)
On June 8, 2024, Palompon Institute of Technology (PIT) and Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT) from Taiwan convened a collaborative meeting at Bayfront Hotel, Cebu City. The meeting aimed to strengthen ties between the two institutions by discussing their partnership and exchange programs to enhance academic and research capabilities.
The PIT delegation was led by Dr. Jennifer Gorumba, the Dean of the College of Graduate Studies (CGS), representing Dr. Nathaniel Bryan S. Fiel, the OIC President of PIT. She was accompanied by other PIT officials, who were introduced in the meeting by Dr. Neil Egloso, the Director of External Affairs and Internationalization.
Dr. Fiel conveyed a welcome message. However, due to a prior and equally important commitment, Dr. Gorumba read the message on his behalf. In the message, the OIC President expressed his appreciation to MCUT for sustaining their partnership with PIT.
“PIT assures MCUT of our enduring commitment for carrying on with our mutual endeavors”, Dr. Fiel also emphasized in his message.
The collaborative meeting between PIT and MCUT represents a significant step towards strengthening international academic ties, aimed at improving educational quality and research outcomes through joint efforts. To formalize their collaboration, both institutions finalized the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This is expected to benefit students and faculty from both institutions, promoting the development of a global academic community.
We also extend our gratitude to Ming Chi University, Taiwan, for this opportunity.
