On June 27, 2024, Her Excellency, Ambassador Marielle Geraedts of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Philippines visited the Palompon Institute of Technology (PIT). The Ambassador was welcomed with a dinner hosted by the KVNR and Nova College at Balay Alumni. During the event, the PIT KAAPIT Sayaw Troupe performed the “Banga Dance” and “Curacha”, showcasing the local culture and extending a warm welcome to the Ambassador.

Dr. Dennis Anota Del Pilar, President of PIT, delivered a speech expressing gratitude to the Ambassador for her visit and appreciation to the KVNR and NOVA College representatives for their ongoing support of PIT’s maritime programs. Ambassador Geraedts also expressed her heartfelt thanks for the warm reception and pride in the achievements of the maritime industry in the Philippines.

The visit was facilitated by Capt. Evert Van Leeuwen, KVNR Project Manager, who ensured all arrangements were in place. Ambassador Gereadts is scheduled to be the Guest Speaker at today's 23rd Recognition Ceremony at PIT-Gymnasium.
