On January 16, 2025, seven (7) new scholars from the Palompon Institute of Technology joined the Scholarship Program for Coconut Farmers and Their Families for AY 2024-2025. These additional scholars, accompanied by Mrs. Cherrie Red L. Abilar, Scholarship Coordinator, were invited to the CHED Regional Office VIII in Tacloban City to sign their Notices of Award and Scholarship Contracts. The event also included the release of their stipends, providing crucial financial support as they pursue higher education.
This expansion of the scholarship program underscores PIT's unwavering commitment to inclusive education, fostering opportunities for students from farming communities. The program not only alleviates financial burdens but also invests in the future of both students and coconut farming families in the region.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Maximo "Max" C. Aljibe, Regional Director of CHED Region VIII, for his steadfast dedication to supporting and advancing higher education.
